Holiday Night-In

Winter is such a beautiful time of year with lights, snow, holiday cheer and something that’s not everyone’s favorite: the cold. Make some time to escape the icy outdoors and have a cozy night-in. Catch up on holiday baking, enjoy holiday music or movies, and channel your inner home-body. It’s also a perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with friends and family.

Pay It Forward

Volunteer and pay it forward! The holidays are an amazing time to give back and be thankful for everything you’re blessed with. Volunteer at a soup kitchen, donate old clothes you never wear anymore, buy coffee for the person behind you at Starbucks.

Decorate for the Holidays

Get your home in the holiday spirit with seasonal decorations for the holidays. This can be done with the staples for celebration, if relevant to your holiday season: Christmas trees, Hanukkah menorah, Kwanzaa kinara, and more! Pro Tip: Make DIY decorations with family and friends for some fun, creative time together.

Stay Active with Winter Sports

If you’re lucky enough to live in Park City or the surrounding area, take advantage of the gorgeous ski resorts. Go skiing or snowboarding to stay active this winter season. Polish your skills or sign up for lessons if you’re looking to try something new! With the perfect opportunity right in your home town, your bucket list wouldn’t be complete without it.

Enjoy the Snow

If sports aren’t among your winter festivities, still enjoy the breathtaking outdoors to see nature transformed with the season. Go for a scenic drive, a walk with a loved one, make snow angels with the kids, or take the family ice skating! With countless seasonal memories to make, take advantage of the endless opportunities to make them.

Leave the Technology Behind

Lastly, simply enjoy time with loved ones this season. If you spend time on vacation or just outside, leave the electronics behind to spend some quality unplugged time with friends and family. It can be refreshing to give yourself a break from technology and mentally recharge! Even if it’s for an hour, a day, or a weekend, anytime is worth it.

Between the holiday spirit, tasty treats, time with loved ones and more, winter is known by many as the most wonderful time of the year. Crossing off some of the items on our winter bucket list is a perfect way to make the most of this winter season. Park City especially has many unique local things to do this holiday season.
