Fall Bucket List

October 19, 2018

Different seasons bring different traditions. Experience fall fully this year by checking things off our Fall Bucket List. There’s so much to do, it was nearly impossible to narrow it down to just a few things!

Scenic Drive

Scenic drives are a great way to take in the kaleidoscope of colors fall has to offer, especially in Utah. Most routes can be taken in a family car and are perfect for a fun afternoon with the family. Check out our previous blog post to see our top five favorites!

Pumpkin Carving

Fall wouldn’t be complete without the one of the most important Halloween traditions, pumpkin carving! Do it freehand or with a stencil, then compete with others to get the whole family involved. This easy, well-known tradition can be fun for the whole family and provides fall décor unique to your family and friends. Pro tip: toast the pumpkin’s seeds in the oven at [temp] for [time] minutes with a little bit of salt for a festive snack.

Apple Picking

Apple picking is a popular, family-fun activity to do in Utah and there are many places to go to find this famous fall fruit. With harvests ranging from late August to late October, there’s still time to hit the orchards and cross this must-do activity off your fall bucket list. Once picked, enjoy your apples and make apple sauce, apple pie, apple crisp and so much more!

Have a Bonfire with Friends & Family

Enjoy the last few months of the outdoors before cold weather hits and have a bonfire with friends and family! Roast marshmallows, tell stories, and make memories by the fire this season. Pro Tip: Use different chocolate candies instead of plain chocolate squares when making s’mores to add variety and creativity to your smokey snacks.

Check out Local Festivals

Fall time is the most popular time of the year for festivals, fairs and last-minute fun. Check out local festivals and fairs near you, and plan time to enjoy them with friends and family. If you’re lucky enough to live in Park City, check out Howl-O-Ween celebrations or ARToberFEST’s autumn-themed art activities perfect for the entire family.

Each season brings new opportunities to make memories and have fun with the entire family. Utah’s diverse seasons offer many different things to do, and we hope you gathered some ideas for fall fun from our bucket list. Park City especially has many unique local attractions, festivals and things to do. Looking to live in the Park City area? Contact us to find your new home: https://shorelineparkcity.com/.
